How it usually runs
1. Referral and AT category scoping
Confirm what category of AT is in scope and whether multi-disciplinary input is required.
2. Assessment
Functional assessment in the environment(s) where the equipment will be used.
3. Trials
Coordinated with suppliers. Two-week trial periods typical for higher-cost AT.
4. Report and request
Written AT assessment report with explicit clinical justification for the recommended item.
