Sensory assessments

Formal sensory profile assessment and report - used to inform therapy goals, school plans, or NDIS plan-review documentation.

Who this is for

Children and adolescents where sensory processing is suspected to be affecting participation - sleep, mealtimes, classroom learning, friendships, or behaviour at home.

What's included

  • Standardised sensory profile measure (parent and teacher reported as appropriate).
  • Clinical observation across two sessions.
  • Written report with practical, environment-specific strategies.
  • Optional debrief session for the family or treating team.

How it usually runs

  1. 1. Intake call

Confirm what decisions the assessment needs to support - plan review, school plan, treatment direction.

  2. 2. Parent and teacher questionnaires

Standardised forms completed before the first appointment.

  3. 3. Two assessment sessions

One in clinic, one at home or school where useful. Total 2–3 hours of contact time.

  4. 4. Written report

8–12 page report with profile, interpretation, and strategy recommendations. Delivered within two weeks.

Reports

Full written sensory profile report. Suitable for treating team, school, or NDIS plan review evidence.
