Editorial image for "Paediatric OT for children and adolescents with ADHD" - clinical-but-warm tone.
Scope
I work with children and adolescents whose ADHD is one part of a broader picture - typically alongside sensory regulation difficulties, motor coordination concerns, or executive functioning challenges that show up in self-care and school routines.
I do not diagnose ADHD and I am not a medication prescriber. Diagnosis sits with the paediatrician or psychiatrist.
What I work on
Morning and evening routines, homework set-up, sensory strategies for classroom tolerance, sleep hygiene, transition planning.
For adolescents: explicit executive-function scaffolding (planners, environmental design, externalised reminders) that the young person owns rather than has imposed on them.
